First St. Louis Blues Game

We took the kids out for their first St. Louis Blues game today against the Pittsburgh Penguins. While the final score wasn’t in the Blues favor, everyone had a good time.

NBC changed the start time of the game to 11:00 am Central time (Noon Eastern time), which had us arriving at Scottrade Center a little after 9:45 am for the pre-game warm-ups. The kids were able park right in front of the glass and take in player warm-ups with their homemade sign.

The players came out to warm up and scared the bejeezus out of the kids with pucks hitting the glass. Here are some photos I took of the warm-up through the 3/4” thick panes of plexiglass – apologies if some of the photos turn out blurry or distorted.

Final thoughts

Our view from the seats during the first period – Section 332 – wasn’t bad at all! While the Blues didn’t notch a win, we did get to witness Sidney Crosby’s 400th (and 401st) career goal, so the day wasn’t a total wash!
