About Stephen

Stephen Bolen is a senior product and experience leader with over 20 years of experience driving digital transformation, product strategy, and customer-centric innovation for global enterprises. He currently serves as Director of Product Management – Technical at Mastercard, where he leads strategic initiatives spanning data strategy, franchise solutions, and legal platforms, aligning complex business objectives with scalable, technology-driven outcomes.

Stephen’s career is defined by a strong intersection of product management, user experience, and enterprise consulting. He has a proven track record of guiding cross-functional teams, advising senior stakeholders, and delivering high-impact solutions in highly regulated, data-intensive environments. His leadership emphasizes practical innovation—translating emerging technologies and design thinking into measurable business value.

Prior to Mastercard, Stephen held leadership roles at Emerson Electric Co. and Monsanto, where he led digital experience transformation initiatives and built UX and product capabilities at scale. His work has contributed to the development of connected product ecosystems and enterprise platforms, including integrations with major technology environments such as Amazon, Google, and Apple.

Stephen earned an MBA from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises, holds a B.A. in Business Management from Fontbonne University, and B.A. in Music History & Literature from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife and two children.
